Life is very much like a media production, requiring careful planning, flexibility, and constant problem-solving. In my media career, I learned to manage complex projects from start to finish, balancing creative vision with tight deadlines and shifting priorities. This ability to organize and adapt has been crucial not only in media but in any fast-paced environment where delivering quality results matters.
Working in media sharpened my communication skills, both in crafting clear, engaging messages and in collaborating with diverse teams, from technical crews to on-air talent to external partners. It taught me the importance of active listening, giving and receiving feedback, and aligning everyone around a shared goal. These interpersonal skills foster teamwork and build trust, foundational to success.
Perhaps most importantly, media work cultivated a mindset of resilience and continuous learning. Productions rarely go exactly as planned, so I developed the confidence to pivot quickly, troubleshoot unexpected challenges, and stay solution-focused. Embracing this growth mindset and flexibility enables me to approach new challenges in any field with optimism and a drive to find creative solutions.
In 2024, I stepped down from my longtime role as a media manager to embrace new challenges in a different industry. I look forward to bringing the valuable skills and experience I’ve gained into the business world. Below are some examples of my work.
On my final day, I was honored to receive a mayoral commendation from the Mayor of Newton—an official recognition of my contributions and positive impact on the community through dedicated service and leadership.
